During a one-on-one conversation in the wake of the murder of George Floyd, Regina's former employer told her "It is okay to talk about religion in my company and it's okay to talk about LGBTQ. But this is not okay - this is political." Regina was heartbroken to realize that this woman, who employs a significant number of Black people and even has a Black grandchild, did not see the importance of protecting Black lives. In that moment, she realized that she had to do something, not just to protect her own peace, but to offer a safe space for others. makeHRwork made the transition from idea to reality over the next 30 days.
Regina imagined she would consult independently for some time before hiring anyone. However, within a week of signing the first project she realized there was so much work available and so many people needing work that it only made sense to start hiring. Today we are a growing team of phenomenal consultants averaging 20 years of experience in Payroll, Human Resources, project management, and/or consulting. We have strong expertise across the "Big 3" payroll + employee lifecycle management vendors, ADP, Ceridian, and UKG, and we know many others. We hold designations such as CPP, PHR, and SHRM-CP as well as system certifications for Ceridian Dayforce and UKG Pro.
